Architects are often familiar with bars and upscale restaurants. Frequent exposure to such spaces provides an advantage when designing a bar for a client or a friend who is running or planning to start a business in this industry. Bars and restaurants primarily focus on interior design. While they may not be large-scale projects, they are truly unique compared to other types of interior spaces.
The software used for conceptualization must be highly specialized. The computer system must also be extremely powerful due to the high level of interior detail required. In particular, architects must thoroughly research and apply comprehensive lighting systems, including ambient and decorative lighting, to create the most realistic depiction of the space in operation. These designs are not just about functionality, architectural form, or aesthetics—they must evoke a full range of emotions, capturing a vibrant, intimate, or romantic atmosphere that aligns with the future business setting.
To put this into perspective, even for a small restaurant or bar, I need to use a computer system worth tens of thousands of dollars to produce a design that meets the required standards.
